Diy jewellery organiser

As much as I love jewellery, I love if everything was organised and I don't have to go through my drawer to find the right one every morning to wear. Most times if I find the right one, it's either tangled with others or I will not find the matching set and it's such a chaos. I tried a lot of store bought organisers, even tried display boxes, none of it worked because I have a little too much.
So finally decided that I will do something about it myself, I have enough storage space in my walk in robe and have some wall space too. I have decided to organise using a peg board. I bought a peg board from local Bunnings and have cut to size

The plain peg board is really boring so want to give some colours to it. My bedroom has a colour theme of black, yellow, grey and white, so want to match the peg board too. Have decided on yellow, white and grey chevron. Have taped the peg board in zigzag, it took me more than an hour just to take it.

Now I jut alternated yellow and grey acrylic paint. Yellow was easy to paint.

But grey wasn't as it wasn't really sticking well so had to do 3 coates. I had to wait for it to try between each coat.

Now it's ready for me to take the asking tape off.

Now it's time to screw it to the wall. I attached a wooden piece at the back of the peg board and screwed it to the wall so that there is a gap between the wall and the board.

Now the fun part is to hang all my necklaces to it. I have so many that I am not sure where to begin.

I finally organised some necklaces.

Phew this took more time than actually painting this board. Still have so much to go but I think it will happen on a daily basis...
